Design Thinking
Paze Transaction History - US Bank
Challenge
US Bank needed to design an intuitive transaction history interface for the Paze digital wallet, allowing users to easily view and manage transactions across multiple credit cards. The challenge was to create a seamless experience that provided clear visibility into Paze transactions while offering flexible filtering and navigation options for users.
Solution
My team employed a design thinking approach to develop the Paze Transaction History interface. We began with brainstorming sessions using Mural to generate ideas, framed the problem with a "How Might We" statement ("How might we show users transactions made with Paze wallet?"), and conducted a "Crazy 4s" sketching exercise (4 sketches in 4 minutes). After voting on the best concepts, we designed a solution in Figma featuring a dashboard with Paze-enrolled card indicators, a wallet view with links to transaction activity, and a detailed transaction page with filtering options by card, date, merchant, and amount, alongside visual elements like graphs and incentive bars.

IDEA 1
This idea allowed users to click on a card to access a separate screen displaying all card details, including transaction history, with a top section enabling users to swipe between different cards seamlessly, providing a quick and intuitive way to navigate between accounts.

IDEA 2
Another concept featured a main screen listing all Paze-enrolled credit cards, where clicking a card directed users to a "Pay via Paze" option for quick payments. To view transactions, a toggle on the main screen switched the view to a Transaction History screen, displaying all available cards alongside their transaction history, including details like date, merchant, and amount, for a comprehensive overview.

IDEA 3
A third concept also started with a main screen listing all Paze-enrolled credit cards, where clicking a card directed users to a "Pay via Paze" option for quick payments. At the top of the main screen, horizontal tabs labeled "Main" and "Transaction History" allowed users to navigate between views, and clicking the "Transaction History" tab displayed a view showing all available cards alongside their transaction history, including details like date, merchant, and amount, for a comprehensive overview.

My Role
I facilitated the brainstorming and sketching sessions using Mural, ensuring the team defined the problem statement ("How might we show users transactions made with Paze wallet?") to guide ideation. I contributed sketches during the "Crazy 4s" exercise and, based on the selected concept, designed the Figma UI, incorporating features like vertical tabs for credit cards, a toggle for transaction views, and a graph displaying merchant transactions, with a Paze logo to identify transactions and a bar indicator for incentives.
My Leadership
Led the design thinking process by organizing and guiding the team through brainstorming, problem definition, and sketching phases, ensuring alignment on the best concept through voting. I oversaw the translation of the selected idea into a high-fidelity Figma prototype, coordinating with the enterprise UX group to refine the design and ensure it met user needs while aligning with US Bank’s design system standards.
